There is no way to tell whether you’re a carrier of PKU unless you have a parent with PKU…then you would definitely be a carrier. Without that, you would need to have a genetic test done to determine. Even people who have siblings with PKU don’t know for sure that they are carriers. I have PKU, but my brother doesn’t. There is a 50% chance he’s a carrier, and a 25% chance he isn’t.
