How about if there are just a few pieces of another steamed vegetable in the mix cut to the same size?  Aprotein ditalini pasta (cambrooke foods) is a great size for toddlers practicing their pincer grasp.  Dipping was always a way to get Molly to eat new things — low protein breadstick in tomato sauce, veggie nuggets ( for recipe) with ketchup, low protein french toast sticks, waffles dipped in syrup or melted butter are also great options.
