My daughter peyton is 6 weeks old and has pku, I have a bad cold- runny nose and headache. I was wondering if anyone knows what I can take that is safe for my daughter since I am breastfeeding? Any advice will be helpful

I’m thinking that you can’t take anything but you should double check with your local medical clinic. As long as you’re breastfeeding though your daughter will get anti-bodies from you to help her fight off the cold too.

I take fenugreek when I have a cold. It helps break down the heavy mucous and is a natural antibiotic. It’s an herb that is sometimes used for cooking but it’s awesome for colds. Take 2-3 tablets every 4-5 hours. You can find it in most natural stores and costs about $8 or so. Peggy C.
