    My daughter peyton is 6 weeks old and has pku, I have a bad cold- runny nose and headache. I was wondering if anyone knows what I can take that is safe for my daughter since I am breastfeeding? Any advice will be helpful [/SIZE][/FONT]

    I’m thinking that you can’t take anything but you should double check with your local medical clinic. As long as you’re breastfeeding though your daughter will get anti-bodies from you to help her fight off the cold too.

    I take fenugreek when I have a cold. It helps break down the heavy mucous and is a natural antibiotic. It’s an herb that is sometimes used for cooking but it’s awesome for colds. Take 2-3 tablets every 4-5 hours. You can find it in most natural stores and costs about $8 or so. Peggy C.
