I just wanted to let you know what I have found to help lower high PKU levels. It is called Kangen Water. Kangen Water is just an easier way of stating, Alkaline, Ionized, Anti-oxidant Electron Rich, Re-Structured, Micro Clustered, Active Hydrgen Saturated, Oxidation Reduced, Powerful living water. nMy sons is 14 y/o and his levels went up to 25.5 at the beginning of December. Now his level is down to 13.9. The only real thing he has done differently is drink the Kangen water.

I wouldn’t take this person’s word for it. Number one, the fact that there isn’t a legit email is a clue. Number two, anyone with PKU should KNOW to be suspicious of cure-alls and hyped products – check with your doctor or dietitian before trying anything you don’t know about. Number three, I had to look up this “Kangen Water” – from their site, you learn virtually nothing except that they want to sell it to you. From other Internet hits, it becomes clear that it is ionized water – no different than any other ionized water. There may be legitimate health benefits from ionized water, but Kangen is just a brand (and some sources claim a highly over-priced brand, at that). I’d be highly suspicious of any claims that WATER of ANY kind can really affect phe levels. My guess is that this message is essentially spam and should be treated as such.

Hello gemndsum and Tracie-PKU. Please contact me and I will be glad to get information to you and how to purchase a unit for water. nJust to inform you this is very ligit and my son has used it and has help very much. He does not like going anywhere with out his water now. He is on the diet and does have restrictions but he is also 15 years old and this does help to keep his levels down. Please do not hesitate to contact me!
