Does the phe a person can tolerate increases as someone grows, or it remains the same as in childhood?

I believe it pretty much remains the same. Our son tolerates 12 grams of protein and he's 16 months. They think this will stay around the level now. Tasha

It definitely can increase and I know a lot of cases where it did. Actually I don't know a person whose phe levels didn't increase as he/she grows older.

foufouka….  even low protein food contains phe.  if you have a certain amount allowed each day, then you will need to measure so you will not eat more than your tolerance
