Does anyone know about the PheBloc tablets on how benificial they may be, how many do you have to take on a daily basis? Are they worth trying? Do you have to take them in conjunction with formula?

I asked my dietician about if I would be able to try the PheBloc only for special occasions, like going out to a nice restaraunt or on vacation since I am planning on going away this summer. Also I am having trouble with coverage for my medical food and formula so it may help me in the mean time of trying to get that situated. The PheBloc pill is apparently a lot cheaper than medical food too. She told me she patients felt a lot better on the pill and the symptoms from high protein levels subsided, also some patients protien levels went down while on the pill as well. Taking the PheBloc pill doesn't allow you to go off the diet completely, but does allow for a greater variety of foods where about 80% of your diet will consist of natural foods and only 20% of medical food/formula.

I was wondering has anyone with Classical PKU had these PheBloc tablets from the UK?
