    Hello everybody,
    I was curious about what are the ways of recognising a fetues with pku, before he is born in yout country?
    your answers will help me so much.

     The test is only done if a couple has already a child with pku. They do a CVS (chorionic villus sampling) and check if the fetous has your pku mutations. I think this is done at around 12th week of gestation.( i live in Greece)…..

    in Iran, this way is done with amniosentesis way. it is done between 15 – 17 week of pregnancy. this action is done with syringe, that sucks alittle water of amoniak that surrounded fetues. this water contains carytip. carutips are cells that contains genetic information of fetues. they send these cells for screening. screening determine that fetues has any genetic disorder or not. if anybody has any information about this, please share with others.
