My daughter is 11 months old and since she was six we had a standard meal everyday. Squash, potato and carrots, along with spaggeti… I haven’t tried different veggies, since our doctor is a little strict about it and she wants us to have a standard regime until she;s over 1 year old. My little one doesn/t mind. What I do is that I put some celery in the soup or other times onion or parsley (only 1 little leave, it contains phe!!!,1.5mgr/gr). Maybe you should try to add something. But is cauliflower or broccoli good for an 8 month old child? I don’t know. Ask your peadiatrician . Since your baby doesn’t bother the same food every day, why should you be so anxious?

WE HAD TWO KIDS ( BOTH MALE WITH PKU ) AND THIS IS WHAT WE FOUND OUT BY OBSERVATION. BABIES IN GENERAL LOVE MILK AND YES, OVER TIME PKU FORMULA. THE MAIN THING IS TO REMEMBER BOTH OUR KIDS WERE ON MOSTLY MILK FOR YEARS AND NEVER REALLY ATE FOOD. IN THE OLD DAYS KIDS WERE TAKEN OFF THE DIET AT AROUND 12 YEARS OR LESS DEPENDING ON ADVICE OF DOCTOR. OUR KIDS WHEN FIRST GIVEN A SANDWICH DIDN’T KNOW WHAT IT WAS AND WANTED ONLY THE MILK FORMULA. FOR SOME REASON BOTH CRAVED PICKELS AND IF GIVEN THE CHANCE DRINK THE BRIM IT CAN IN. TODAY THEY EAT EVERTHING THAT GOD PROVIDES. PKU BABIES GET ALL THEY NEED FROM THE FORMULA AND CAN LIVE ON IT FOR LIFE WITHOUT DAMAGE. PKU IS CONTROL OF LEVELS AND FOLLOW YOUR DOCTORS ADVICE FOR SURE. YU MAY FEEL YOU ARE IN SOME WAY HARMING YOUR CHILD BY NOT FEEDING HIM/HER LIKE OTHER BABIES — YOU’RE NOT. OUR SONS, ARE HEALTHY: ONE IS 6’3″ AND THE OTHER 5’4″ IN COMPARSION AND ONE IS ON LIFETIME DIETS AND THE TALLER NOT. REMEMBER: THERE ARE SO MANY PRODUCTS AVAILABLE FOR THOSE WITH PKU BUT VERY LITTLE FOR BABES. THE FORMULS IS THE KEY AND THE REST JUST ASSETS FOR HEALTHY PKU LIVING. YE, TIME WILL PAST AND LIKE ALL KIDS THEY EAT AND EAT YOU OUT OF HOUSE AND HOME —- BUT TODAY ITS NUMBER #1 FOR YOU BABY.
