Hello. I take Kuvan and have been on it for over two years now. I used to disolve it in apple juice and water, however I couldn’t stand waiting to do it. That is when I decided to take it by swallowing it. Hmmm.. I know parents with younger children also crush it into apple sauce. I would suggest having your child crush it and place it into food while eating. Also, good luck to your child taking Kuvan. Let me know if I can be of any other help.

I’ve always swallowed them whole like Katie. I have heard some parents mixing it in Hunts Lemon pudding, applesauce, Sunny D, and their formula. Just check with your doctor to be sure it’s okay to take Kuvan like that. I hope this helps.

I am hoping to begin this soon. I am interested to see what works for different people. We will see how it goes. I hope this works out well for the 15 year old!
