Hi all. I don't know about anyone else, but holidays are extremely difficult. All that food that you can't eat. Trying to keep your portions acceptable. UGH, it drives me insane. Thanksgiving is the worst. All of my favorite foods. Mashed potatoes, gravy, corn on the cob, stuffing, pie, green bean casserole, broccoli casserole, pink fluff, and ROLLS!!! Does anyone else have a hard time during the holidays? Christmas wasn't so bad this year. My family stayed at my in-laws' house. Some how I ended up making dinner. Not sure how that happened. My mother-in-law, was heating the pre-cooked ham that she bought, and asked me to make the roasted potatoes. Which I did. Then I made the green beans, and brown and serve rolls. So not a huge meal but just enough for the eight of us. The best thing about me cooking at the in-laws house is I do not have to clean up!!! LOL! Now its time to get back on diet, which is always harder after a few days of not caring. I will put this in, I do NOT eat meat or dairy or nuts or any other high proteins. I know some people who do. Even if I am off diet, I eat fruits, vegetables, and starches like rice or pasta.its just my portion control is non existent. I have started walking with a friend of mine a few times a week, which helps me get out of the house, and keeps me from sliding into a depressive spiral. Plus it gives me a reason to shower and get out of my pajamas, which I like to lounge around in if I have nothing big planned for the day. I hope and pray that this is helpful to someone, if not.... well you don't have to read it. I will post again soon, just know that you are not alone and you can do it!!! I believe in YOU!!

Hi! My diet is exactly the same too. I don’t eat meat but stray away a little with like rolls. I drink formula and eat fruit and veggies. I start kuvan in a month. Well a trial of kuvan for a month. Yes holidays are hard for me too! I do the exact same thing as you on holidays and then right back on the strict diet after. But again no meat. Basically just more corn and potatoes that I shouldn’t have and a roll.Oh and don’t forget the yams!!! :) LOL. Your not aone either!! I believe in you too!!
