Life is complicated but, worth it

I'm new to this so, who ever is reading this, please don't judge me by this first sentence. Having PKU means nothing. It just means you have to eat different things. Is that so hard? Well when your young, it is. Many things change. Being a teen on PKU is the same thing as being a baby except that you choose to do what you do. I don't know how hard it is for others kids but, for me my diet is like a rollar coaster. It has its ups and downs and of course, the unexpected twists. I know that it can be difficult. So what I'm trying to say is that PKU is just a special thing that is apart of you. Till later. Hopefully, if you are reading this, you might see other things wrote by me so, have a good day and till I write again.

Hi Sarah… I agree with you that PKU is just a part of you and not your whole life… I think it is easier for some people to find PKU an easy thing than others though.. I agree it is like a roller coaster with ups and downs.. Unfortunately, many people have too many downfalls with their diet.. Hopefully, the people who experience success with following the diet can serve as role models for those who have a harder time… Offering advice and suggestions can be a big help on here… often times, I find people asking suggestions of how to maintain that success for a long period of time and avoid the constant ups and downs… great blog – looking forward to hear more from you :)

I have to agree with you that PKU does have it’s ups and downs. I think that is how life in general is, and seeing as PKU is just another part of life it also has it’s ups and downs. I have always seen PKU as something that makes me unique, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with being unique. ~Breanna Hardy 18 CPKU
