Gosh I am also very sorry about your baby boy. I am 15 weeks along in pregnancy so have just recently gone through the whole preconception thing. I would be only too happy to help. Add me as a friend and message me with any Qs or anything. Having done it before you may even be able to help me too!! x x x

I am very sorry to hear about your son. I think you and I could be good friends as I am also starting a maternal diet prior to conceiving. I have a blog quite similar to yours and I have had a lot of helpful comments posted, you should check it out! Becky (who posted here) had some wonderful information to pass along! I wish you the best of luck! Hope to hear from you soon!

PS- where will you be stationed? We live in Norfolk, VA and there is a very nice clinic just down the street from us!

    Jen xx

    Hello Maria,

My condolences to you and your family.

My name is Kelli. I decided to contact you because I realize the challenge associated with the maternal pku diet. I began the diet at least 3 months prior to each conception and followed the diet throughout each pregnancy. I have three healthy happy children that I am very thankful for.

Were you on diet for your children? How did you find the diet? What were your biggest Challenges.

I found that the first three months were very difficult because the diet was soo strict and sometimes I felt soo sick. As the pregnancys progressed I could eat more phe and it was much easier. My biggest challenge was drinking all the medical food that I needed.

I hope that all goes well for you. It’s great news that you will be near a pku clinic. Do your best to follow the diet and do regular blood work and you should have a healthy happy baby.

Contact me any time If you want to chat.

    Best of luck,
    Kelli
