So, I spent last week loosely trying to achieve 5g of protein a day... I wasn't necessarily writing everything down, but in my head was tallying it up as I went along and purposefully eating a lot more fruit and vegies rather than higher protein foods... Only to find that, while normally on my 15g a day diet, most fruits and vegies aren't really worth counting, they actually are on a 5g preconception diet because they can be up to 0.5g a serve!! So instead of having 5g a day I was actually averaging up to 8! OOPS! Needless to say I am counting every single 0.1 of a gram this week! Gotta get those levels down. I'm supposed to take a blood test this afternoon and I KNOW it will be higher than last week's result of 215, but at least it will show me just how much of an effect they had.... Sigh. Back to the drawing board!
