As I wrote on your site that you put a link to, I’m excited about our PKU Picnic here in Tucson that’s coming up on May 23rd. I am not sure that we will have HUGE numbers (compared to the events in Phoenix that are usually quite populated). I currently have 5 families give “yes” RSVP’s, and my expectation was about 4 families. There are still three weeks for people to decide, also. My husband and I took some time today to put together some games for the PKU picnic–So far we have Autograph Bingo with a slight PKU twist, and an adaptation of a game we played at our church’s trivia night called “dead or alive” that I think I will call something like “higher or lower”. Due to the Arizona heat in late May, I am trying to decide whether to equip the kids with water guns or water balloons–I’m leaning toward water guns because of easier clean-up!
ps-I forgot to mention that a mom of a PKU kiddo in the area is getting food donations so we’ll have snacks (low pro and non-low pro alike), as well as goody bags. Hunter, I saw on facebook that you RSVP’d in the affirmitive that you’re coming to our Picnic–I’m guessing in spirit only? It’d be awesome if you actually are planning a trip to AZ–we have a spare bedroom!

I’m planning on walking in my area’s PKU research walk-a-thon in June. Anyone can e-mail me if you want to make a donation!

The PKU Association of N.S.W had a PKU picnic in Parramatta Park on the 1st May. There were around 40 people who came and enjoyed the day tasting formula’s and trying the low protein foods which Nutricia and Vitaflo kindly supplied. There were games and the park for the smaller kids to play in. Everybody had a great time!
