Starting again

Okay, I'm starting the maternal PKU diet again! Just a quick explanation to everyone: we are hoping to start TTC soon and we don't want the world to know about it, but I do want to blog the process of going through a pregnancy with PKU, so you're the lucky (or unlucky?) few who get to share it with me. So where were we before? That's right. I was getting frustrated because hubby changed his mind about starting a family just yet. This was sometime around January I think. So I stopped doing the maternal PKU diet and went back to my normal daily allowance (about 12g). Now we are definitely going to start, so I'm back on it as of today. So today I am starting it off on 6g of protein per day and 4 of my Lophlex formula. That reminds me, I need one now. So far today I've had: PKU toast with apricot jam, potato curry with PKU rice and an apple. Time to cut up some carrots and celery I think. Stir-fried vegies for dinner :)

Good luck with the diet, hopefully we’ll share not only the diet, but also the pregnancy period as well! I hope everything turns out fine!
